About
Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner
Integrative women's health practitioner, author, and the clinician who developed the framework the Appetrol20 Program is built on.
Marcelle Pick is an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner who has spent more than four decades working with women through midlife wellness changes. In 1983 she co-founded the Women to Women Healthcare Center in Falmouth, Maine — a clinic built on the idea that healthcare should help people make healthier choices rather than only treat illness once it arrives. At the time, that model was well outside the medical mainstream.
She was among the first practitioners in the United States to become certified in Functional Medicine, and has served on the faculty of the Institute of Functional Medicine ever since. She holds a BS in Nursing and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, and an MS in Nursing from Boston College–Harvard Medical School. She is certified as both an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Marcelle is the author of three books — The Core Balance Diet, Is It Me or My Adrenals? and Is It Me or My Hormones? — each grounded in what she observed across years of practice. She has appeared on Dr. Oz, FOX and ABC, and has been featured in Glamour, ELLE and Women's World. Her PBS special, Is It Me or My Hormones?, reached viewers nationwide.
The work behind Appetrol20
The framework the Appetrol20 Program is built on came out of Marcelle's clinical practice rather than a marketing department. It began as a structured programme she ran with patients: whole food rather than meal replacements, a defined six-week shape rather than an open-ended plan, and regular contact rather than a guide handed over once.
Appetrol20 brings that same structure to women who were never going to make it to a clinic in Falmouth, Maine. The eating framework and the drops are the same. What changed is how the guidance reaches you — weekly email rather than individual appointments.
